The Story:

I lost my grandparents to Dementia, Parkinsons, and Cancer. I wish I had the chance to know them better, which is why discovering a collection of their memories deeply impacted me. Although the collection was just some poor quality interview videos filmed on a camcorder 12 years prior, I felt a renewed sense of connection and understanding for their stories.

That is why I founded Gen To Gen Stories: to tell the stories of parents & grandparents so that their stories and memories can live on for their children, grandchildren, and future generations, before the opportunity is lost. We preserve not only the highlights but also the lows, the hidden memories, and the everyday details- which are the things most easily forgotten.

But who am I? My name is Jamie McNeill. I grew up in a small Connecticut town and have been telling stories since I was about 15 years old: writing scripts and creating documentary films with subjected ranging from Holocaust survivors to local open mic nights. I moved to LA to attend USC’s #1 Film School, had my thesis film play at 40+ international film festivals, and have worked my way up in Hollywood to coordinate on blockbuster feature films with combined budgets of over 200 million dollars. All is to say- I have experience with storytelling.

So let us tell the story of your loved one- parent or grandparent- so they can never be forgotten.
